This morning, the groundbreaking ceremony for the Iberg Electrical Appliance New Energy Vehicle Wiring Harness Assembly Project in Changzhou was successfully held at the project site. Leaders from Wujin District and Qianhuang Town attended the event, while the company’s management team, the project contractor, and industry-chain partners gathered to witness the commencement of construction on the enterprise’s brand-new production base.
The event venue was vibrant and well-organized. At the opening of the ceremony, Mr. Yang Jian, Chairman of Iberg Electrical Appliances, first extended his sincere gratitude to government leaders at all levels and distinguished guests in attendance, highlighting the comprehensive support provided by departments at the Wujin District and Qianhuang Town levels—ranging from project approval and land‑use coordination to on‑site assistance—since the project’s inception. Chairman Yang explained that this new project focuses on the R&D and large-scale production of high‑ and low‑voltage wiring harnesses as well as complete vehicle wiring harness assemblies for new‑energy vehicles. The plan includes building an intelligent, digital manufacturing facility equipped with state‑of‑the‑art R&D laboratories and automated production lines. Leveraging the company’s years of deep expertise in automotive wiring harnesses, the newly completed base will further expand its capacity for onboard wiring harnesses, strengthen its position in the new‑energy components supply chain, and reinforce its core competitive edge in the industry.
Subsequently, the groundbreaking ceremony commenced, with celebratory cannon salutes resounding throughout the venue. Leaders from Wujin District and Qianhuang Town, along with corporate executives and partner representatives, jointly took up golden shovels to lay soil atop the cornerstone. With each scoop of fresh earth, the new Iberg automotive wiring harness project officially entered the construction phase.
During the project’s construction phase, the company will rigorously ensure construction safety and uphold high standards of engineering quality, meticulously plan the construction schedule, and expedite all preparatory work, including plant infrastructure development and equipment customization. Upon completion and commissioning, the enterprise will leverage its new facility to refine its production layout, enhance local supply-chain integration, and create employment opportunities for the regional workforce, thereby repaying local support through pragmatic capacity‑building efforts and contributing to the steady growth of the new‑energy vehicle components industry in the Qianhuang area of Wujin District.
